The Pandora's Box Saga
The Pandora's Box Saga is a painting composed like a matryoshka doll, subdivided into twelve opuses, each interpreting a scourge of humanity. Each opus is stacked within the other; the greater the scourge, the smaller the format of the work. It tends to paint a fading memory, hence the use of a spherical perspective with a transient tonality, which synthesizes a moment by superimposing a multiple viewpoint proportional to a moving subject, from photography, or even a live model in an equal distance relationship. In a sense, this is a Saga about the coming memory, and from its innovative method, an insight into the artist's view between traditional and modern figurative painting is revealed here.
